Simple But Deadly
Ebola, caused by the ebola virus, is also known as ebola hemorrhagic fever. It’s just as terrifying as you think it is. The virus causes problems with clotting, which leads to internal bleeding, and vomiting or coughing up blood. Other symptoms include fever, fatigue, head and muscle aches, and red eyes. Unfortunately, there isn’t a vaccine or treatment for ebola, so hospitals usually just provide supportive care. Blood transfusions and IV fluids can help give a person’s body a helping hand while their immune system works to fight off the infection.
